The types of surveying we handle benefits those who desire to become a licensed land surveyor. While we have some exciting large scale industrial and construction related projects, our 40+ years of combined experience is built on traditional boundary, topographic, hydrographic, subdivision and surveying for civil engineering design projects. Our team members handle a variety of projects, but more importantly, work towards the type of surveying that will advance your career towards becoming a licensed professional.

While a lot of company's work with one-person solitary survey crews, we pride ourselves on still supporting the use of two-person crews. Besides the obvious safety advantages of having two employees on sites, we believe the best way to train future staff is for them to have the opportunity to work directly with experienced surveyors. Basically, we encourage and develop team members for enhanced future roles.

Entry Level Survey Team Member

Qualifications:

Must be dependable
Experience helpful but not
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must have some basic computer skills
Applicant must be able to work with others on the team as a member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, hydrographic, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing surveying equipment and basic tools
The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required of a Land Surveyor
Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent(Minimum)
Must have good Mathematical skills
Must pass a drug test
Must be physically able to work outdoors in all terrains including along highways, in wooded environments, on small boats in lakes, rivers and bays and on construction sites under all weather conditions
Ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition the ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces

Civil Surveyors Inc. (CSI) is currently seeking responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our firm as an Entry Level Land Surveyor. Applicant must be able to work with others on the team, as a member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, hydrographic, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required of a surveyor. Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations. • Ensure safekeeping of equipment. • Ensure that vehicles are supplied and kept in an orderly fashion ready for duty. Survey Team Lead

Qualifications:

Must be reliable, trustworthy and posses’ ability to work well with coworkers and clients
5 years of total survey experience minimum
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must have computer skills

Survey Team Leader directs and manages all aspects of their assigned survey field services and manages the daily team’s workload including paperwork for timesheets and billing
Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations
Coordinates field activities with office staff daily to ensure scope and schedules are being adhered to
Ensure that vehicles and surveying equipment are maintained and kept in an orderly fashion
